We hold country walks every Sunday morning throughout the year and on Tuesday evenings during summer months.
Walks start at a different country pub each week. On Sundays we start at 10.50am, getting back to the pub by around 1pm for lunch. This usually equates to five or six miles. On Tuesday evenings we start at 7.30pm, walk length depends upon daylight available. Walks are mainly on public footpaths, bridleways and country lanes.
The group was formed in 1994 as a younger and less serious alternative to established walking groups at the time. It is a very informal group with around 60 members. Usual attendance is around 12-18 walkers.
Legal note: The contacts for this group are solely for passing on information about meeting places. The walks do not have organisers and there are no leaders, walkers may choose to take the same route as other walkers but this is entirely their own choice and at their own risk. No liability for loss or injury can be accepted.
